“Mom” actress Anna Faris opened up about her split from husband Chris Pratt Tuesday on her pre-recorded podcast, “Unqualified.” She thanked her listeners for their support and gave a tiny glimpse about the inner-workings of her relationship with the “Jurassic World” star.

Because of their busy careers, Faris and Pratt were unable to spend a lot of time together. While she was able to cherish the moments she spent with her husband, it also put a strain on their relationship.

“My long-distance relationship with Chris, I wouldn’t describe it as that, but we do spend a lot of time apart,” Faris said. “But the advantage of that is it makes you so appreciate the time you have together, and you really, really value that. … And you don’t want to waste it fighting, and you know, like, all the minutiae. It’s a high price to pay, you know, but it is a benefit. A silver lining.”

Another way Hollywood impacted Faris’ life was feeling like she had to play a character on-screen and off-screen. Since she’s a comedian, she felt pressure to always appear happy. It isolated her.

“I play a character on ‘Mom,’ I play a character in movies, but I also play a public character,” the mother-of-one said. “There’s definitely a loneliness and, like, an internal element to being a performer. I feel like I have to laugh.”

She and Pratt announced their split via social media last week.

“Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating,” Pratt wrote. “We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another.”

Pratt appeared in public for the first time since the breakup at 2017 Teen Choice Awards. He accepted an award for choice sci-fi movie actor for his role in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.”

“Wow thank you. I love you too, thank you,” Pratt said. “Many years ago, when I came to Los Angeles, I came from Hawaii and I had this blonde hair and tan, and I met an agent, because I really wanted to be an actor ... and he said ‘Wow bro, you must surf,’ and I said, ‘Uh, yeah.’ And that was the first of many lies that I told to get to where I am today.”

Joking aside, he then went on to thank God. “I would not be here with the ease and grace I have in my heart without my lord and savior, Jesus Christ,” he said.

Rumors swirled Faris, 40, was nonstop crying over the end of her 8-year marriage, but Gossip Cop debunked the scuttlebutt.
