Anne Hathaway showed off her rapping skills on "Conan" Tuesday night, all while keeping a completely concentrated, straight face.

"I've heard that occasionally . . . you get angry about something that's happened to you, either at work or in your private life and you like to vent it through songwriting. Is that right?" Conan O'Brien asked the actress.

"With all the stuff that's been going on with 'Batman,' the paparazzi attention's been a little intense. So I actually wrote a rap song about it . . . it's in the style of Lil Wayne," Hathaway told O'Brien.

For approximately 30 seconds, Hathaway is nothing like her characters from "The Princess Diaries," "The Devil Wears Prada" or even "The Dark Knight Rises."

Sporting a floral dress and dark red lipstick, the 28-year-old raps about paparazzi taking photos up crotches and selling them on celebrity Web site Perez Hilton, complete with picture-taking hand gestures.

Hathaway was on the late night talk show to promote her new romantic drama, "One Day," which also stars Jim Sturgess and Patricia Clarkson.

Critics are already fussing over Hathaway's British accent in the film. In fact, Hathaway's accent prompted The Guardian to list the five worst British accents in recent film memory.

"A shame. At least there's no real fear of hers being the worst British accent in the canon," wrote Tom Lamont of The Guardian, who goes on to comment on the performances of Russell Crowe ("Robin Hood") and Don Cheadle ("Ocean's Eleven"), among others.

"One Day," based on the bestselling novel of the same name, comes out on Friday.
