There seems to be no end to the feud between Anthony Bourdain and Guy Fieri. After Bourdain made distasteful comments about Fieri, the latter fired back on the “No Reservations” host. Bourdain has responded and insisted that he was just making a joke.

During the premiere of “The Big Short” in New York, E!News had the chance to ask Bourdain about his feud with Fieri. The celebrity chef and host shared that his previous comments about Fieri were intended as a joke.

"I tell jokes about people sometimes," he explained to E!News. "But if you can't tell jokes about Guy Fieri, comedy as we know it is dead."

Earlier this year, Bourdain poked fun at Fieri after the “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” host lost his Lamborghini, according to Us Weekly. In March, Bourdain joked on Twitter that he took the car and that the vehicle smelled like “Ed Hardy in here.”

Meanwhile, Fieri has already responded to Bourdain’s mean jokes in his recent GQ interview. When asked on how he felt about Bourdain’s comments, Fieri said that he doesn’t like Bourdain’s penchant of having fun at the expense of other people.

“I don’t like him making fun of people, and I don’t like him talking s---,” he told GQ. “And he’s never talked s--- to my face. I know he’s definitely gotta have issues, ’cos the average person doesn’t behave that way.”

He also fired back against Bourdain and other critics who made fun of him or his appearance. "It's not that I'm not open to the reality that the food world was like this from a few people's perspective," he said during the GQ interview. "It's just, 'What are you doing? What is your instigation? You have nothing else to f------ worry about than if I have bleached hair or not?' I mean, f---.”

However, despite Fieri’s GQ outburst, Bourdain would still be making jokes about other celebrity chefs and TV personalities. During a September interview with People magazine, Bourdain explained that making Fieri jokes is something that he does during shows and even off-camera.

He said, “I tell jokes about Guy Fieri… I tell jokes about those guys; it’s what I do.”
