At a time when Apple’s next-generation flagship smartphone, dubbed the iPhone 6S, and the jumbo sibling iPhone 6S Plus are expected to be released on Sept. 18, a new report showed photos of what is claimed to be the upcoming version of the iPhone in Rose Gold hue.

Speaking of color, it is worth reminding that, the Apple Watch Edition comes in Rose Gold color as well. According to Phone Arena, consumers praised the 38 mm Apple Watch with Rose Gray Modern Buckle, which comes at a staggering price of $17,000. Following the huge interest specific to this particular variant, Apple has reportedly decided to make the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus models in Rose Gold as well. Meanwhile, photos of the Rose Gold variant are making waves online, thanks to the leak originated from a Chinese site.

The alleged Apple iPhone 6S photos show a predominant pale pink color, more than the golden hue. It is also worth noting that Apple has not used pink color in any of its metal iPhones released so far. However, the plastic iPhone 5c came with a pink variant, when the device got released in 2013.

Moving on to the rumored iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 6s specifications, Phone Arena reported that the upcoming devices are expected to come with Force Touch technology, debuted in the Apple Watch. Because of the new Force Touch feature, the phones will reportedly be 0.2 mm thicker when compared to the current-generation iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus models at 7.1 mm and 7.3 mm, respectively.

Speaking of design, the handsets will reportedly flaunt the Series 7000 aluminum chassis. This material apparently prevents the handset from bending. Needless to say that Apple is now more cautious after the “bend gate” saga, which shook the internet with snapshots and memes of iPhone 6 models that bend.

Under the hood, the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus are likely to be powered by Apple A9 processors. The smartphones will apparently sport an upgraded 12-megapixel rear-facing camera unit, in addition to an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter.
