The iPhone SE rumors are swirling all the more as the smartphone is expected to get unveiled on March 21. The smartphone that is also expected to be available for purchase by March 25 is said to be endowed with features and specs that are present on the Apple iPhone 6S.

The rumor mill has been calling the upcoming 4-inch iPhone with various names like iPhone 5S, iPhone 6C and iPhone 7. However, fresh speculations suggest that it will be launched as iPhone SE (Special Edition). Also, there has been various speculation on its announcement dates such as March 15 and March 22. However, Phone Arena has reported that the iPhone SE will be unveiled at Town Hall Center in Cupertino, California on March 21.

The iPhone SE was previously said to be upgraded version of iPhone 5S, but now it seems to be scaled down edition of the iPhone 6S. Several specs and features of the iPhone 6S are expected to be available on the iPhone SE.

The iPhone 6S is powered with Apple A9 SoC and M9 motion co-processor. The same chipset is rumored to be available on the iPhone SE. The iPhone 6S features 2 GB of RAM whereas the small-sized iPhone SE is speculated to arrive with 1 GB of RAM.

Apple is expected to offer two storage editions of the iPhone SE, namely 16 GB and 64 GB. The iPhone 6S houses a 12-megapixel camera. KGI Securities analyst, Ming-Chip Kuo has claimed that the 12-megapixel camera will be also available on the rear panel of iPhone SE. It will be also equipped with Live Photos feature. The iPhone SE was previously rumored to feature 8-megapixel rear camera.

Like the iPhone 6S, the iPhone SE is expected to arrive in metal unibody design. Its 4-inch screen will not be equipped with 3D Touch feature of the iPhone 6S. It will come with connectivity options like NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac and Bluetooth v4.2.

The iPhone SE that is rumored to get unveiled on March 21 is also slated to be available for purchase by March 25. It is expected to price around $400 to $500. Apple is expected to launch a 9.7-inch iPad Pro at the same launch event.
