Even after the Worldwide Developers Conference 2019, many fans still have no idea when Apple will release its next iPhone device. However, some bits of information about the next iPhone devices and their features have leaked on the internet over the past several months. Here’s what we know about Apple’s 2020 iPhone lineups.

Inside information from Apple-affliated companies was recently found in a note that revealed the possible features of the Cupertino tech giant's upcoming smartphones, according to Chinese site Antutu. The leak claimed that the 2020 iPhones are going to be offered in two different sizes and will come with 5G connection. However, as not all countries have the infrastructure, some variants of the 2020 iPhone will only have the current mobile data technology instead of 5G.

The upcoming iPhones will reportedly have a 5.4-inch variant and a 6.7-inch version. This coincides with Apple’s usual style, which involves releasing different versions of the annual iPhone device they put out.

Aside from the sizes and connection, information about the 2020 iPhone’s camera may have also been leaked. The camera may have 3D depth perception technologies in its rear camera which could further improve the quality of pictures taken with the device.

Moreover, a new Touch ID upgrade will also be added as acoustic fingerprint technology would turn the whole device’s screen into a biometrics fingerprint scanner.

Aside from the upcoming flagship devices, Apple is reportedly also working on the iPhone SE 2 under wraps. The rumored special edition device will potentially be made from parts of the iPhone 8. Many Apple fans loved the first iPhone SE not because of its new technology, but because it was a comfortable smartphone to use due to its small size.

Aside from the device itself, the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) is supposedly also working on a 5-nanometer design infrastructure technology that could be applied for the newer iPhones, according to Apple Insider. This new technology will apparently allow the new iPhones to process data faster, which is a big improvement for the device.

For now, Apple has yet to officially confirm any of the rumored leaked inside information. We can only wait for the company to provide updates about their new devices in the coming months.
