Are Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev Together Again? ‘Vampire Diaries’ Stars Reportedly Back On

Many “Vampire Diaries” fans were heartbroken when lead stars Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev broke up, but according to a new story from E! Online, the TV couple could be rekindling their real-life romance. After a brief fling with “Dancing With The Stars” professional dancer Derek Hough, Dobrev has supposedly returned to the 34-year-old Christian Grey fan favorite. The entertainment news site said the pair had been “hooking up” and were “definitely hot and heavy once again.”

The duo recently won E! Online’s “Best TV Couple of All Time” poll for their romance on the hit CW show. Delena (for Damon and Elena), as fans call the couple, recently dished about their award to E! Online, and were thrilled with the win.

"Relationships are hard in real life, and they're exceptionally hard in Mystic Falls, because when you have happiness in Mystic Falls, you have no drama,” Somerhalder said. “And if you have no drama, you have no TV show."

"I mean it's crazy!" Dobrev said about their award. "The Delena fans are so passionate and so enthusiastic and such rabid lovers of Damon and Elena's chemistry and their relationship that obviously we're incredibly flattered and excited about it. It is really awesome!"

Maybe the recent win inspired the two to get back together? Dobrev hasn’t publicly commented on the rumored reconciliation after the couple’s split back in May, but Somerhalder’s rep did have something to say to the news site: "They don't comment on their client's personal lives."

The fact that the two remained friends after their breakup could have made a romantic reunion more likely. "There's no bad blood between them," a source told E! Online when they split in May. "There was no other person involved or any big fight."
