President Donald Trump used to host the show “The Celebrity Apprentice,” but when he started campaigning, Arnold Schwarzenegger took over the job for him.

Trump could not resist making snide comments about the reality show’s low ratings after he left, therefore sparking a feud with Schwarzenegger. The president has even posted scathing comments about Schwarzenegger’s performance on his social media page.

But if you were to ask the “Terminator: Genisys” star, no one else is to blame for the poor ratings but Trump himself. “It’s not about the show,” Schwarzenegger told Empire Magazine. “Because everyone I ran into came up to me and said ‘I love the show…but I turned it off as I read Trump’s name. I’m outta there.’ When people found out that Trump was still involved as executive producer and was still receiving money from the show, then half the people [started] boycotting it.”

When asked during “The Michael Smerconish Program” why Trump is so obsessed with his stint on “The Celebrity Apprentice,” Schwarzenegger jokingly replied, “I think he’s in love with me. Yeah, I think so.”

Schwarzenegger also said that he is now leaving the show, contrary to rumors that he was fired. And if asked to host it again, he would decline because of Trump’s association with it. However, he said he will be taking away with him lots of fond memories.

“I learned a lot, I had a great time, it was a really great opportunity. But under the circumstances, I don’t want to do it again,” he said. “With Trump being involved in the show, people have a bad taste and don’t want to participate as a spectator or sponsor or in any other way support the show. It’s a very divisive period right now and I think the show got caught up in all that division.”
