Arsenal continued their resurgence with a 3-0 thrashing of West Brom at the Emirates Stadium, as Robin van Persie was once again at the heart of everything good about the Gunners.

The Dutchman opened the scoring on 22 minutes, when he was at hand to tap in Theo Walcott's blocked effort. The goal was his 29th goal in 28 league games.

Shortly before half-time, he played a decisive part in Arsenal's second, cutting back a well-weighted ball for Thomas Vermaelen to convert.

With fifteen minutes remaining, Mikel Arteta added gloss to the scoreline with a fine, curled finish after collecting a ball from Van Persie.

Arsenal are now in the top 7 of the league, level on points with sixth-placed Liverpool.
