Arsenal are continuing to be linked to a number of forwards as manager Arsene Wenger looks to add more firepower to his squad in the summer.

Currently, Olivier Giroud is the only established striker at Wenger’s disposal, with Marouane Chamakh and Nicklas Bendtner out on loan and expected to be sold in the close season.

According to the Sunday People, Arsenal will make a move for Queens Park Rangers forward Loic Remy at the end of the season, if QPR are relegated from the Premier League.

The Gunners were linked to the France international in January before he made a surprise £8 million transfer to QPR. But Remy is widely believed to have a relegation clause in his contract, allowing him to leave for a fee said to be £6 million.

With QPR seven points from safety with six games remaining, the future of Remy and the club’s other highly paid is likely to be an increasing subject of discussion.

Remy has scored five goals in eight appearances since arriving from Marseille. He is adept at playing through the middle or out wide, as is another reported Arsenal target: Adrian Lopez.

The Gunners were linked to the Atletico Madrid man last summer and again in January. Citing stories in Spain, the Daily Express reports that Arsenal retain an interest in Adrian with the 25-year-old potentially available for just £8.5 million at the end of the season.

A Spain international, Adrian has struggled to match his fine campaign last season, when he scored 18 goals in all competitions, as he has lost his place in the Atletico side to Brazilian Diego Costa.

Also said to be interesting Arsenal is Saint-Etienne’s Pierre-Ermerick Aubameyang. The 23-year-old has scored 17 goals in Ligue 1 this season to lead to speculation linking him with Chelsea and Newcastle as well as the Gunners. And, citing a story in Italy, TalkSport reports that competition for Aubameyang’s signature will also come from Inter Milan.

Saint-Etienne coach Christophe Galtier recently suggested that there is an agreement in place that he could leave the club if they fail to achieve a place in the Champions League next season. The club currently sits in the final qualifying position in Ligue 1, but level on points with fourth-placed Lyon.

Finally, Arsenal have been credited with an interest in Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain by Metro. Higuain has struggled to hold down a regular place in the Madrid side this season as he has been rotated with Karim Benzema. That has led to speculation that the Argentina international could be up for transfer come the summer.

After scoring a superb goal against Levante on Saturday, the 25-year-old refused to rule out a move.

"I am available to the club but I will not say any more," he said. "This is not the time.

"I can only say that I’m committed to the club and will help the team until the end of the season."

Juventus and Tottenham have also credited with an interest in the man who has scored 13 goals for Madrid this season.
