Arsenal number 16 Aaron Ramsey is excited and confident about the connection that has formed between himself, Alex Song and Jack Wilshere, and is positive that it will help the team in the next season.

Ramsey, 20, has formed a combination with Song and Englishman Wilshere and has linked up in every pre-season game so far this summer. The combination worked impressively against FC Cologne on Saturday when Ramsey played further forward while the other two stayed deeper.

“Me, Jack and Alex are starting to build a relationship and are doing well together,” reported Arsenal's official website.

The combination has also formed the backbone of the team’s midfield towards the end of last season, and the Welshman is expecting strong competition when captain Cesc Fabregas and Abou Diaby gain full fitness.

“We've shown that we are more than capable of playing together and are connecting together,” Ramsey said. “It is an interesting combination and one that I hope I can be a part of.”

Ramsey is also hopeful that both Fabregas and Diaby will recover fast before the season begins on August 13, at a time when Arsenal will be facing Newcastle United.

Ramsey joined Arsenal from Cardiff City for £4.8 million ($7.81 million) in 2008 and has appeared in 34 games as a midfielder scoring four himself.
