A slew of celebrities are coming together to create a digital-only compilation album to raise money for earthquake and tsunami relief efforts in Japan.
Musicians from Universal Music, including Rihanna, Justin Bieber and U2, hope to have the project completed by the end of the week. All of the proceeds will go to the Japanese Red Cross.
"Japan is one of my favorite places on earth ... it's an incredible culture with amazing people. My prayers go out to them. We all need to help, by being one of the first on board for the project," Justin Bieber tweeted.
A number of other celebrities are also doing their part to raise money for relief efforts.
Lady Gaga designed a Japan Prayer Bracelet which has already generated more than $250,000.
R&B artist Ne-Yo is already in Japan playing charity shows and aiming to raise more than $100,000 for victims, reports People.com.
