John Edwards' mug shot: Looks more like a modeling head shot [pictures]

Police released John Edwards mug shot today...except that it looks more like one of those photos Tyra hands out at the end of 'America's Next Top Model.'

John, you're still in the running to become American's Next Top Model.

Edwards was indicted earlier this month for allegedly spending more than $925,000 to keep his lovechild and mistress on the hush-hush during his 2008 presidential campaign. He's officially been charged on six counts including, conspiracy, four counts of illegal campaign contributions and one count of false statements. Edwards pleaded not guilty.

It's still hard to get over the mug shot though. It's like he had vanity lighting, hair and make-up. And he's looking awfully happy for a guy who was just indicted. Well, if he comes out on the other side of this he can save some money on new head shots for future campaign posters.
