The couples came from varying countries including Brazil, Japan, Spain, and the United States. The study concentrated on the most recent four weeks of intimate and sexual relations.

The study said that men feel most fulfilled when they are in long-term relationships and that cuddling and kissing increases men's happiness. Moreover, happiness is directly related to increases in life expectancy and improved health.
