Michael Jackson's Kids Attend Memorial (Photos)

07 July 2009 @ 09:39 pm ET

Michael Jackson’s three children attended the late entertainer’s public memorial service on Tuesday in Los Angeles.

Daughter Paris Michael Katherine Jackson, 11, spoke briefly.

“Ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine,” she said, breaking into sobs. “And I just want to say I love him so much.”

Her siblings, Prince Michael 12, and Prince Michael II, 7, were also in attendance at the Staples center, along with Jackson’s immediate family.

They will remember their father all the way through their adult years and beyond. You don't know what you're talking about because you've never had a parent die when you were 12 or 13 years old. No parent is just a 'passing memory' when they've died or haven't been in a child's life for whatever reason.

Michael - we shared a love of Haagen Dazs Vanilla Swill Almond ice cream! I will always remember you when I eat it! Hope God has lots of it for you in Heaven!

In reference to Laura - comment 36:

In my opinion the late Michael Jackson DID perform miracles, through his singing and dancing. His thriller album ALONE exposes 7 different genres of music - that in itself is an impressive achievement. May I suggest that you watch THRILLER where in fact he does "rise from the dead" (tongue in cheek). I acknowledge that the media coverage of his death may have been a bit exhausting, especially for someone who is not MJ inclined. However, if you don´t like it, don´t participate. It´s as simple as that.
I wish him eternal peace and my heartfelt condolences go out to his children.

I want to say that Michael Jackson was a GREAT musican! He also loved his children. You could tell by the way his daughter Paris spoke at the memorial. I dont believe that they forced Paris to talk about her father. If you watched, you could see that she asked Janet if she could say something. Anyway, This man is dead and his children are without a father and all you can do is say rude things about him. Michael Jackson might have done things that some people did not agree with, but again it was his life and he knows what he did. All Im saying is that anyone that says rude things about him should remember that the ONLY thing that matters now is his children. You should always remember that you can not judge anyone. Only GOD can judge. So give this man the RESPECT he deserves.

It seemed set-up like the whole service basically. Besides Paris looking happy and playing around during the service, at the after reception, they say the kids were happy and talking to everyone. Also Mariah Carey sucked!!!

People have to realize that the longer you do a certain thing, the more impact you make doing it. MJ has been in the music business for 40 years, so he impacted a lot of people. That fact and the fact that he died so suddenly makes the people he impacted hurt even more. He was a special person, not just for his music, but because he believed in helping people. He had kids at the Neverland ranch because he loved for kids to be kids and have fun because he never got a childhood. Most of those kids were sick and poor and needed to have that fun. He was never convicted of child molestation because the police never found proof and the child refused to testify. He settled the civil case not the criminal case and he had no control over the settlement, his insurance company took the settlement that the child's parents offered because the stress from the trail was affecting his health. And for the person, Emily from South Africa, that said the funeral was racist, it wasn't racist at all, it was just that MJ was so important to the black race because he opened a lot of doors for black people in America. There were no black cartoons before J5 and MTV wouldn't even have considered playing black people's music until MJ came along. He broke a lot of color barriers for us and mentioning that at the memorial was just to remind us all how important of a man he was. MJ loved all his fans, no matter the color and everyone knows that. RIP Michael, I love you, like Marlon said, maybe now they'll leave you alone.

argh makes me so angry when ppl leave comments about the molestation charges as being true EVEN though the man was acquitted, as in judged by the court as NOT GUILTY of all charges. ALL CHARGES. Ppl just wana pass judgement from his looks and personality as presented by the media. Ppl really need to know the facts and the whole story; if you don't and make judgements like that, it not only makes you look narrow minded but also ignorant. Some ppl seem to only follow whats in the media tabloids; magazines that is not smart.

The other thing that has annoyed me are the comments about his children not being biologically his. Who the on earth really cares, he adored and supported his children and they obviously adored him which is more than i can say about some father-child relationships. Genetic traits are not as simple and common as most would like to think. There is a poss. that those are biologically his. I don't know if anyone has noticed but Paris looks like Rashida Jones, daughter of african-american musician Quincy Jones and Peggy Lipton. Anyway just my observation.

I miss Michael Jackson. People just don't realise just how much he gave to humanity with his unwaivering generosity and support; not-to-menion his contribution to popular culture. Just as everyone on this earth he is not a saint, he is not perfect and he shouldn't be held up like one but the man and his family deserve our respect, something ppl should have been ready to give while he was alive. One isn't given respect one must earn it, and i think and quite a few ppl would say Michael Jackson more than earned his fair share of respect. To all those who are disrespectful take your attitudes out on other celebrities, those who have hardly done anything for the community but make money and lended towards the material. I'm one hundred percent sure that would be most of Hollywood. If one feels the need to judge then why not judge in a truer way - through a person's character and consistances and not on the media's views. For as Alexander Hamilton said, "No character, however upright, is a match for constantly reiterated attacks, however false." That is what the media does.

He was extraordinary! I think that instead of being judged, MJ should be remembered for the great impact he made throughout. After all, only God is the rightful judge & no other man is. People judge because they failed to comprehend MJ. We all didnt know him personally, even though some of us feel like we did know him. No1 knew what demons he had to face inside, only he knew in his heart. Be it it's his kids, or his skin colour or whatever else, as much as we love him & want to know abt him & dig our noses in his personal life, it's not for us to worry abt & worst of all, judge! Whatever he did/didnt do, only he knew in his heart what was going on. No1 can say they knew what went through his mind throughout his entire life. So why judge when we know nothing?? Please lets remember MJ for the great Legend that he was. I am a true fan & I honestly feel that there will be no other like him. MJ donated over $300MM to charities. In addition, MJ also help people in need. Once there was a 14 girl that was dying of cancer and her last wish in life was die at home because she spent her entire life in the hospital under treatment. MJ heard about her story and paid to have medical equipment shipped to her home so she can take her last breath. Another story, MJ heard of an infant girl in need of a lung transplant surgery. Not only did he pay for the surgery he also used his status to being awareness to the situation and a hospital agreed to provide a lung. There are many charitable deeds Michael did in his lifetime, but the media only focus on the lies made about him. Then ponder Michael’s body of work and ask yourself, “Have I [Hater] brought even a small fraction of as much joy to the world?
