Jason Wu for Target Arrives, Speculations High Over the 60-Piece Line (PHOTOS)

The much-anticipated Jason Wu for Target has finally arrived, and fashion lovers are excited to try some of the innovations in this budget-friendly range.

The 60-piece collection by the American fashion designer marks an exclusive collaboration with the affordable retailer brand and features structured handbags, antiqued scarves and gauzy blouses with black bows and pleated floral skirts.

Full of sport stripes, pleats, boat-neck and floral prints, the collection has been described as one that "blends feminine sophistication with a mischievous nod to the 1960s".

With this collaboration, the high-end designer apparently flaunts his economical side with garments priced between $19.99 and $59.99 and handbags between $19.99 and $49.99.

Manhattan-based Taiwanese American fashion designer Jason Wu is one of the most acclaimed figures in the industry. In fact, it was Wu who designed First Lady Michelle Obama's Inaugural gown.

However, speculation is rife about the success of the collection and also about the partnership. Although Wu lovers are keen on the creations, many are pondering about the risks of ordering them online.

According to the Washington Post, promotional photos of collections are not enough to judge the quality of a product range. Although photos are available, fabrics and cuts are still a mystery. A blouse might be too sheer, or a straw bag may feel cheaper than it looked in a well-lighted studio.
