A one pound, two foot long, $26 hot dog will be unveiled at Captain Morgan Club and the Rangers Ballpark for Texas Rangers fans to enjoy on opening day April 6.

The hotdog comes with a variety of toppings, including shredded cheese, chili, sautéed onions and fries.

Named the 'Champion Dog,' it is served on a cutting board that can cut into smaller pieces to share with friends at the restaurant. At the ballpark, it comes with a carrier with handles so it can be taken to your stadium seat. It's known as 'Boomstick' in honor of Nelson Cruz.

Casey Rapp, operations manager for Sportsservice told ESPN that they came up with the $26 hot dog to top their previous culinary creations.

We did a half-pound hot dog during the World Series and wanted to top it, said Casey Rapp, operations manager for Sportsservice to ESPN. Our company had to have the hot dog made special and we had to find a local bakery to make the bun. The bun is like a loaf of bread just to hold this thing.

The hot dog is estimated to have 2,000 or 3,000 calories and is supposed to be shared by four people, though Rapp says there are probably some who will eat the treat by themselves.

I don't recommend it, but I'd be impressed, Rapp said to ESPN. It's almost as long as a youth bat. I'm sure fans will try it just to see if they can do it.

The Rangers introduced a 3-pound pretzel last season that will be back for 2012.

If the $26 hot dog is too much, fans can still purchase the 'Jumbo Dog' for $4.50 and only weighing in at one-sixth of a pound.
