Marvel just released new footage at D23 for “Avengers: Infinity War,” which showed that Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and the “Guardians of the Galaxy” stars will be meeting up at some point.

The footage showed Thor crashing into the ship belonging to the Guardians. Dave Bautista, the actor who plays Drax, told Good Morning America that it was “great” for the Marvel stars to finally have a crossover. “What are the chances? Isn’t that great? When I first read that I laughed hysterically,” Bautista said. “When we shot it, it was just so ridiculous.”

Bautista even teased that Marvel fans will not be able to stop laughing while watching that scene because Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) will feel threatened by the amazing good looks of the god of thunder. “We had a lot of fun with that whole scene,” Bautista continued. “It’s kind of the first interaction between the Guardians and Thor, obviously. There’s just so many jokes to be made there with how handsome and perfect Chris Hemsworth is and how insecure Star-Lord is. A lot of good fun and a lot of good humor.”

In the scene, Thor was still sporting short hair, which suggests that the meeting took place right after the events of “Thor: Ragnarok.”

Earlier, Marvel president Kevin Feige revealed that “Ragnarok” will conclude the “Thor” trilogy, and it will open up the storyline for their next “Avengers” film. “I think that we are finding ourselves as we complete Phase 3 and finish this 22-movie narrative that it’s working out that way,” he told the Toronto Sun. “We did three ‘Iron Man’ films, three ‘Captain America’ films, three ‘Thor’ films. Things change drastically in ‘Ragnarok’ and then build directly into ‘Infinity War.’”

Several new players will be introduced in “Ragnarok,” and one of them might even be included in “Infinity War.” Some fans suspect that Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie will play a huge arc in the upcoming movie, so she would probably be joining Chris Hemsworth’s Thor as he fights alongside his fellow Avengers.

“Thor: Ragnarok” will be released on Nov. 3.
