The Bachelor
Cassandra and Chelsie will be the two lucky ladies to land one-on-one dates with Juan Pablo in episode 3. ABC

“Bachelor” fans have noted a few catty remarks here and there between the bachelorettes in the first two episodes of season 18, but it looks like the claws are coming out in episode 3! Fifteen girls remain in the running for Juan Pablo’s heart at the start of the episode but only 13 will make it past the third Rose Ceremony.

So, what’s in store for “Bachelor” viewers? We’re breaking down what ABC viewers can expect in the third episode of season 18.

One-On-One Dates

This week the two lucky ladies to land dates with the 32-year-old single dad are Cassandra and Chelsie. Cassandra, 21, is the single mom and former NBA dancer who struggled with her decision to stay in the mansion in episode 2. After talking with Juan Pablo about her situation, the mom decided to stick around and see if the two share a love connection -- which they’ll explore during the first one-on-one date.

Juan Pablo will take Cassandra for a romantic drive by the ocean in Long Beach, Calif., but the romantic Latino has a trick up his sleeve … the Jeep he’s driving is also a water car! Once the shock wears off, the pair will spend the afternoon heating up their relationship on a yacht and round out the night with the Bachelor taking Cassandra back to his house for a home-cooked meal. The synopsis for episode 3 promises some passionate kissing. But will Cassandra head back to the mansion with a rose? Or be sent packing?

Chelsie will find herself on the second one-on-one date of episode 3 with Juan Pablo. The athletic Bachelor will take the 24-year-old science teacher to tandem bungee jump off the Colorado Street Bridge in Pasadena, Calif. But unfortunately for Chelsie, the date is anything but ideal because the blonde bachelorette is afraid of heights. Viewers will have to wait and see if she gets the courage to jump, but their date will end with a romantic dinner at Pasadena’s City Hall and a private concert from country singer Billy Currington. Will Chelsie’s fears put her rose at stake?

Group Date

Last week the group date was a sexy fashion shoot for Best Friends Animal Society with a couple of the girls left out. Week 3 will be similar in that one contestant will be left behind while the 10 remaining head out to play soccer with the former fútbol star. At the Stub Hub Center in Carson, Calif., the contestants will watch as Juan Pablo “demonstrates some of his signature moves.” But the whole date won’t be focusing on Juan Pablo’s skills. Instead the bachelor will split the girls into two teams of five and leave the women to “battle for his attention.”

And while things will definitely heat up the field, the pressure will build during the after-party when a couple of the girls feel that their connection with the Bachelor is on fire. But who will get the group date rose?

Rose Ceremony Twist

Usually the contestants have a second chance to talk with Juan Pablo during the cocktail party before the Rose Ceremony. However, Juan Pablo decides to switch things up this week. Heading to the mansion in the morning of the Rose Ceremony, the bachelor surprises the ladies by cooking them a “classic Venezuelan breakfast.” One contestant isn’t that happy with his unannounced appearance though, and finds her confidence shaken when she doesn’t have her make up ready.

And breakfast isn’t Juan Pablo’s only surprise for the girls -- instead of the cocktail party he’s throwing an all-afternoon pool party. Knowing that three contestants will be sent home at that night’s rose ceremony, the girls spend the afternoon “clamoring to get alone time” with the Bachelor. But in usual fashion that ends in another emotional evening when one Bachelorette is reduced to tears.

Episode 3 of "The Bachelor" airs on Monday, Jan. 20, at 8 p.m. Who do you think will get sent home in week 3? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
