“The Bachelor” has been helping single, eligible men find love on TV since 2002. While most every man chosen to star on the ABC dating show finds a woman he believes is the one by season’s end, not every relationship stands the test of time.

In 2017, Nick Viall — who had tried his hand at love not once, but three times on “The Bachelorette” and “Bachelor in Paradise” — will make his “Bachelor” debut. Forty women have been selected to compete for his affections, but only one will win. While the show has not yet premiered, multiple reports suggest he’ll find the girl he hopes to spend his life with by the end of Season 21. Only time will tell if he and his mystery woman are able to stand the test of time or will succumb to the curse that plagues many reality TV couples.

Curious which of “The Bachelor” couples lasted and which split? Get the scoop before Season 21 of the show premieres Monday, Jan. 2, below:

Ben Higgins And Lauren Bushnell - Season 20

America fell in love with Ben and Lauren as they fell for one another on Season 20 of ABC’s “The Bachelor.” The love affair continued when the pair landed a spinoff series on Freeform called “Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After.” The show was intended to televise their road to the altar, but things got a bit rocky for the duo on the way there.

Ben and Lauren decided not to move forward with wedding plans, but are still together. During a November 2016 interview with Extra, they revealed that they intend to marry one day but are taking a little time to enjoy just being together. Neither Lauren nor Ben have a specific wedding date in mind, but do still hope to walk down the aisle in the future.

“I think at this point, Lauren and I are focusing on our relationship, which is obvious. We’re definitely together — we are happily engaged. The wedding in our mind...is still on, but we are just taking some time to help plan that where it’s not stressful or overwhelming,” Ben said.

Chris Soules And Whitney Bischoff - Season 19

When Season 19 of “The Bachelor” wrapped, fans believed Chris and Whitney were going to live their very own little fairytale. In May 2015, however, their story took an unexpected turn. “The Bachelor” creator Mike Fleiss confirmed that the pair had called off their engagement in a series of tweets. He called it a “sad day” for those working on the show.

Bischoff announced in July 2016 that she had found love again and was engaged. According to Us Weekly, she’s set to wed a man by the name of Ricky Angel.

Juan Pablo Galavis And Nikki Ferrell - Season 18

“The Bachelor” fans were far from shocked when Juan Pablo and Nikki announced that they were no longer together. The pair tried to make it work, agreeing to be on Season 5 of VH1’s “Couple’s Therapy.” They were unable to save their relationship, however.

During one “The Bachelor” Season 19 event, Nikki opened up about her split. She told those in attendance that she and Juan Pablo were once very much in love. When asked whether or not Juan Pablo ever said “I love you,” Nikki assured fans he “absolutely” did. Still, there love wasn’t enough to save the sinking ship that was their relationship.

“There was a while where I did feel like he was totally in love with me. Was it too late? Probably,” she said (via E! Online). “I think at that point I had come to the conclusion that we were different people and we were never going to be on the same page.”

Sean Lowe And Catherine Giudici - Season 17

It hasn’t been easy, but after falling in love in Season 17 of “The Bachelor,” Sean and Catherine are still together and still very much in love. The pair returned to the spotlight in early 2016, appearing in Season 5 of “Marriage Boot Camp.” During the show it was suggested that the pair weren’t giving in to the process.

“When there’s an issue, we can’t address it because you’re hiding it from us,” Judge Lynn Toler said of the duo (via People magazine).

Whether the show worked for them or not, Sean and Catherine are still together and are working towards having another child. In November 2016, ET Online reported that they were working on baby No. 2 and were excited to expand their little family. Catherine told the publication fans could expect a pregnancy announcement in 2017 or 2018. The couple welcomed their first child in July 2016.
