Explosive news for “Bachelorette” viewers. Desiree Hartsock has a contestant vying for her heart … who also has a pretty extensive arrest record.

Fans of “The Bachelorette” were introduced to Minnesota native Brandon Andreen on Monday. The 26-year-old painting contractor arrived on his motorcycle, definitely making a good impression on Desiree. At the cocktail party he revealed that he’s seven years sober, and even handed Des his sober chip to give back to his mother during the hometown dates.

While Brandon did open up to the bachelorette, he failed to mention one thing – his charge of making a bomb threat.

The National Enquirer dug up some court documents on “The Bachelorette” suitor, revealing that he placed a bomb threat in 2005 while working as a telemarketer. According to the documents, Andreen called a General Motors plant in Wisconsin and identified himself as an FBI agent. He allegedly told a worker that a briefcase in an elevator shaft at the plant contained a “highly explosive device,” and ordered that the building be evacuated immediately.

Andreen was then reportedly charged with a felony, but was able to reduce his charged to a misdemeanor. The National Enquirer reports that he paid a fine of over $1,000 for the charges.

When the Enquirer reached out to the contestant he told them, “I have no comment … it was all a misunderstanding.”

The bomb threat isn’t Brandon’s only secret, though. The magazine further uncovered that in 2007 he was “busted for suspicion of driving under the influence.” Just a few months later he was arrested after being caught driving with a revoked license.

Andreen has yet to comment on his trouble with the law on his Twitter account. But he did thank viewers on Tuesday for “all the love” he received on the premiere episode of “The Bachelorette.”
