WARNING: This article contains spoilers regarding Season 8 of ABC's The Bachelorette starring Emily Maynard.

The new season of ABC's The Bachelorette is off to a whirlwind start with southern belle, Emily Maynard, hoping to find love this year. But spoilers regarding Maynard's season do not paint a clear picture of who exactly the single mother will choose... if anyone. Could Maynard wind up alone?

Season 8 of The Bachelorette premiered on May 14. Emily Maynard first became a primetime sensation when she appeared on Season 16 of ABC's The Bachelor. Maynard, a stunning 26-year-old from North Carolina, stole America's heart when she discussed her sorrowful past on The Bachelor. Maynard revealed that her high school sweetheart, racecar driver, Ricky Hendrick, died in a tragic plane crash in 2004 just days before she found out she was pregnant with their daughter. Maynard gave birth to Josephine Riddick Ricki Hendrick on June 29, 2005.

But the love between Maynard and Brad Womack on The Bachelor did not last. The couple broke up after Maynard accepted Womack's proposal and a $50,000 Neil Lane diamond engagement ring.

Womack made an appearance on The Bobby Bones Radio Show after saying that he dodged a bullet by breaking it off with Maynard. During the interview, the bachelor changed his tune about the blonde beauty.

I think in any other circumstance Em and I would have worked out, Womack said. I really do. Quite frankly, this whole situation is just weird and any time we try and hang out we had people following us, taking pictures. I get the old saying 'I made my bed and I need to lie in it' but I'm very, very protective over the people I care about.

I truly wish her the best, man, he added. I hope she finds a helluva guy and she settles down. He did admit, however, that he has not watched a single second of Maynard's new season. I just don't wanna see her movin' on.

But will Em even find everlasting love as The Bachelorette?

Maynard's season is decidedly different from those in the past. As a single mother of a 6-year-old daughter, Maynard is not only looking for a partner, but also for a father figure for Ricki.

Maynard said on the season premiere of The Bachelorette that her ultimate goal is to meet somebody that I can marry and have children with and who could be that father figure in Ricki's life, which I want for her more than anything. Ricki is an integral factor in Maynard's decision-making.

Steve Carbone of Reality Steve revealed his episode-by-episode spoilers guide for Season 8 and has not yet determined a concrete answer as to who Maynard will choose. Carbone said that information about this Season 8 has been kept tightly under wraps.

Here is what Carbone knows as of now:

Arie, Sean, and Jef are the final three. I have not been told with any solid confirmation how the final three plays out yet. All I know is that whoever was eliminated at the final three did not go home, since Arie, Jef, and Sean all returned home after the final rose ceremony had already been filmed. A lot of rumors/speculation/theories about what happened, who got eliminated, who Emily's engaged to if she is at all, etc. Right now, I do not know the ending to the show. I might get it next week, I might get it in a month, I might never get it. It's definitely [been] tougher to come by this season than in the past, that's for sure.

It is possible for a Bachelor or Bachelorette to not choose a final partner.

Womack's separation from Maynard was the second time he lost love. Season 15 was Womack's second run as The Bachelor. On Season 11, Womack became the first bachelor in the history of the ABC series to reject all bachelorettes. Could he have been the catalyst of a new trend?

Breakups happen all the time as well.

Time magazine reported that of the 15 seasons of The Bachelor and the 7 seasons of The Bachelorette, only one couple has stayed together for the long haul. Trista and Ryan Sutter from Season 1 of The Bachelorette are still married. The couple lives in Colorado and has two children. Jason Mesnick of Season 13 wound up marrying the show's runner-up. And Ashley Hubert, the most recent bachelorette who made it to the final three with Maynard for Womack's love, is still engaged to her final pick.

Even if Maynard does choose a bachelor, the odds of riding off with her Prince Charming into forever are stacked against her.

So, do you think Maynard will wind up alone?
