The appearance of General Zod’s dead body in the trailer of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” has to led to a lot of fan speculation about what that could mean for the movie. Michael Shannon has now explained his role in the movie and has tried to address some of the rumors concerning his character.

Shannon (General Zod) had previously said that his new costume for the upcoming movie has him having “flippers” instead of hands. The statement and Zod’s body in the trailer led to fan speculations that the comic book character Doomsday will be featured in the movie.

Speaking to TheDailyBeast, Shannon has now clarified that he had “made up” the story of his costume having flippers in the Zack Snyder movie. The actor said that he is not a part of the new movie and was only there on the set to do some voice-over work.

Sharing details about his character in the movie, Shannon said that his character will appear more like a “ghost,” the same way Jor-El (Russell Crowe) appeared in the movie “Man of Steel.” The actor explained that in the “Krypton universe,” dead characters have a way of coming back as ghosts and this is how his character will apparently be seen in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

The actor later added that he gets “very nervous” sometimes and he was not sure if was allowed to make this new revelation about his character. Shannon described being in the trailer of the movie as an “awkward situation” because he did not work in the movie.

Meanwhile, Warner Bros. has announced that as part of the Hollywood studio tour, fans will get a chance to see the costumes of Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) this Friday till the 23rd. The new Batmobile will also be on display from Friday and will be shown to the fans till Dec. 31.

Besides the new attractions from “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” the exhibit will also include costumes and props of all eight Batman movies. The limited period display has been done in anticipation of the March 2016 premiere of Snyder’s movie.
