Six new behind-the-scenes photos from the set of “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” have surfaced. The images show the two superheroes having a heated discussion in one of the scenes. Some of the other characters seen in the images are Diana Prince, Lois Lane, Alfred and Perry White.

The photos from the September issue of Empire magazine have been posted on ComicBookMovie. Two of the six new images show the interaction between Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill) in scenes from the movie. Another picture is a behind-the-scenes picture of director Zack Snyder explaining a scene to Affleck.

Bruce Wayne returns to the old Wayne Manor in one of the pictures and is accompanied by his faithful butler Alfred (Jeremy Irons). A scene from the fictitious newspaper company The Daily Planet shows Lois (Amy Adams), Clark and Perry (Laurence Fishburne) having a conversation. Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) can also be seen in one of the pictures.

Affleck and Snyder teased more details about the Caped Crusader in another report by ComicBookMovie. The director explained that the title “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is intended to start a conversation about what it means to be a superhero. Affleck’s character in the movie is said to be having a “crisis of conscience” and will ask himself whether he is just a “vigilante who stalks the alleys of Gotham.”

The Caped Crusader is about 45 years old in the movie and has been helping people as a superhero for two decades. When Snyder pitched the story to Affleck, the director is said to have described him as an “older, more broken” character.

“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” will be introducing many new characters and expand the DC Universe. According to a report by HeroicHollywood, sources close to the project have stated that Callan Mulvey will be playing Lex Luthor’s (Jesse Eisenberg) right-hand man Anatoli Knyazev. The character is said to be different from what is shown in the comic books and will reportedly be keeping an eye on the metahumans in the movie.
