Warner Bros. Studio is said to be so impressed with Ben Affleck’s performance in “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” that they are reportedly requesting to see more of the actor in the movie. A previous report about the movie had also indicated the overwhelmingly positive response by the studio for Affleck’s performance.

According to a report by HeroicHollywood, executives of Warner Bros. are requesting the screen time of Superman (Henry Cavill) to be reduced, in order to make room for more scenes involving Batman (Ben Affleck). The report called Affleck’s character the “crown jewel” in the DC Universe and noted that the studio has ordered a solo movie of the character.

The report pointed out that Bruce Wayne has been extensively used in multiple platforms and is gaining popularity among fans from video games, action movies as well as animation movies like the forthcoming “The Lego Batman Movie,” which is slated to be released in the year 2017. Even the movie “Suicide Squad” is having many characters related to the Caped Crusader.

A previous report by DenOfGeek had stated that there was a private screening of “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” which was attended by the cast and crew of the movie and executives from Warner Bros. The audience apparently gave the movie a standing ovation at the end of the screening.

Warner Bros. is said to be working on its DC movies with Affleck’s character at the centre and the report called the character the “definitive Batman.” Affleck may be seen playing the character for the next decade and will also get to direct the solo movie of the character. Affleck has already won praise for directing movies like “Argo.”

It is, however, unclear whether the studio’s request for additional screen time for the actor has been accepted. The movie that was reportedly shown at the private screening was not the final cut.

“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is slated to be released on March 25, 2016 in the U.S. The movie will be introducing new characters like Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) and Aquaman (Jason Momoa). Each of the two new characters will be getting their own solo movies that are slated to be released in 2017 and 2018, respectively.
