Friends of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner's former nanny, who recently became the subject of cheating rumors surrounding the "Batman" actor, are speaking out in defense of her character. Christine Ouzounian is reported to have had a romantic relationship with Affleck, which began shortly after she was hired to care for his three children. A rep for the 42-year-old actor has come forward denouncing the rumors, but sources close to Ouzounian are holding firm in their belief that the stories are true.

According to People magazine, the 28-year-old accepted the position with Affleck and Garner because she believed it would be "a good business opportunity" and would pay well. Friends of Ouzounian say she never took much of an interest in celebrities and had no ulterior motives in accepting the position. Her friend added that she was "shocked" about the entire situation, calling Ouzounian "grounded" and "a normal Southern Cali girl."

"She was never obsessed with celebrities and only saw working as a nanny for celebs as a good business opportunity to make good money," the friend shared.

This is not the first comment from a friend of Ouzounian regarding her alleged affair with Affleck. As previously reported, another source close to the young nanny shared several details she was reportedly told by Ouzounian about her romantic affair. The source said she felt they were definitely in "a relationship" and was warned several times by other friends that she would likely "end up heartbroken."

While new information continues to surface, Affleck sources are adamant that claims the actor had an extramarital affair are completely false. His rep slammed initial reports, calling them "garbage." Sources close to Affleck have since come forward saying he and Ouzounian had "a work relationship and a friendship." People magazine reported that there was never "a romantic or sexual relationship."

Affleck and Garner announced they were separating last month. The former couple share three children together, Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3.
