Beverly Eckert, whose husband died in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, was one of the victims in a partial list of passengers on Continental Express Flight 3407.

She was on the flight which crashed Thursday night on its way to Buffalo, N.Y., family members told ABC News.

Eckert was on her way – on what would have been her husband Sean's 58th birthday - to present a scholarship in his name to a student at Canisius High School, according to ABC News. She became an activist for safety from terrorism in the years since his death.
