Raj (Kunal Nayyar) will stay single in “Big Bang Theory” Season 11. CBS

“Big Bang Theory” star Kunal Nayyar recently talked about the upcoming Season 11 premiere.

While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, the actor was asked whether or not Amy (Mayim Bialik) will say yes to Sheldon’s (Jim Parsons) proposal in the premiere. Unfortunately, Nayyar couldn’t reveal the actual details from episode 1, but he did say that the premiere is the “best 22 minutes in television.”

“There will be an answer this season one way or the other. I thought that the season finale last season was some of the best 22 minutes of television I’ve ever witnessed. Then when I read this one, then we shot it, this is, in my opinion, some of the best 22 minutes in television. We beat our season 10 finale by a lot, in my opinion,” he said.

Meanwhile, Nayyar also revealed that he and his co-stars are already filming episodes 4 and 5. The actor is very pleased with the writing for the upcoming installments so far. “It just keeps getting stronger and stronger, and we feel so lucky to be back and to be stronger than ever,” he said.

In Season 11, Nayyar’s Raj will continue to stay single, and the actor doesn’t have any problems with that. “The fun is being the consummate bachelor, because I really get to explore that side of his character. I think if he was to just find love, now that it would be easy, but if he were to find love then I wouldn’t get to explore the many nuances of his character,” he explained.

In other news, a fan-made spoiler account has been updating fans with the episode titles from Season 11. Most recently, it was revealed that episode 4 is titled “The Explosion Implosion.” The installment will center on Howard (Simon Helberg) and Sheldon bonding over some family-related stuff. This will be triggered by Howard finding the old rocket toy that his dad gave to him. Howard’s dad has been MIA, and there were rumors that he would be introduced in the series.

“Big Bang Theory” Season 11 will premiere on CBS on Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. EDT.
