‘Big Bang Theory’
Howard (Simon Helberg) and Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) are waiting for the birth of their daughter, Hallie in “Big Bang Theory” Season 10, episode 11. CBS

“Big Bang Theory” Season 10 will soon welcome Howard (Simon Helberg) and Bernadette’s (Melissa Rauch) baby girl.

A spoiler site for the hit CBS sitcom recently revealed that their baby will be named Hallie. The name appeared in the information for “Big Bang Theory” Season 10, episode 12, which will air sometime next year. In “The Holiday Summation,” Howard and Bernadette will be stressed over Hallie who won’t stop crying.

Prior to this episode, Sheldon (Jim Parsons), Penny (Kaley Cuoco), Raj (Kunal Nayyar), Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) will first give their friends support during the arrival of the first baby in their group. “The Birthday Synchronicity” will be memorable for Amy since she and Hallie will be sharing the same birthday. Not to mention, Amy and Sheldon’s yearly sex agreement won’t take place this year because they will be busy with Hallie.

Meanwhile, the birth of Hallie may potentially give Howard the opportunity to reunite with his father, Sam. Since learning that his wife is pregnant, Howard has become concerned about whether or not he can be a good father. Unfortunately, he didn’t grow up with one so he doesn’t know how to handle the pressure. With Hallie’s birth, it’s possible that Howard would reach out to Sam and inform him that he is now a grandfather.

While speaking with TV Line, executive producer Steve Molaro said, “Howard’s dad is certainly floating out there somewhere, and this baby is certainly a reason why we might finally get to see him.” However, at the time of his interview, Molaro also said that they wanted to invite Leonard’s dad, Alfred, on the show first. A few weeks later, actor Judd Hirsch was cast to play the role.

“Big Bang Theory” Season 10, episode 11 will air on CBS on Dec. 15 at 8 p.m. EST.
