After Raven Walton and Matt Clines found out that they are Jason Dent’s real targets this week, he decided to earn penalty votes to secure Raven’s stay in the house. A penalty vote is earned by a houseguest who does something in the game that he is not allowed to do. For instance, as a Have-Not, Matt could only eat slop for an entire week. However, he decided to purposely eat regular food.

Additionally, Have-Nots are not allowed to have hot shower, but Matt made sure to enjoy his time in the bathroom by taking a bath without using cold water. He also consumed more regular food and soda this week and slept on Raven’s bed. The latter is not a Have-Not.

After disregarding all of the house rules, this week’s Head of Household (HOH), Jason Dent, gathered everyone in the living room to make an announcement. He revealed that Matt has indeed received one penalty vote against him this week. But Matt isn’t necessarily affected because even though the people behind “Big Brother” already called out his attention, he refused to abide by the rules of the house.

Matt wants Raven to stay in the house this week, but it seems that the remaining houseguests wanted her to be evicted first before him. Since Matt did not take the house rules very seriously, it’s unclear whether or not there will be more consequences to his actions. He is expected to head to jury with Cody Nickson and Elena Davies, but it is still unclear if he will not be allowed to participate in the show completely.

In Season 11, “Big Brother” executive producer Allison Grodner announced that Chima Simone has been expelled from the game after she repeatedly refused to follow the rules of the show, according to Big Brother Network. “Because of multiple rule violations, Chima Simone needed to be expelled,” Grodner said at that time.

“Big Brother” Season 19 will return to CBS on Wednesday at 8 p.m. EDT.
