“Black Panther” has just tapped actor Andy Serkis to reprise his role as Ulysses Klaue in the Marvel Studios film. Serkis’ Ulysses was last seen in “Avengers: Age of Ultron” when his arms got removed by the murderous robot who wants his stolen cache of vibranium.

Following Serkis’ casting, the studio released a loose plot description for “Black Panther,” which will be directed by Ryan Cooler, according to Entertainment Weekly. “’Black Panther’ follows T’Challa who, after the events of ‘Captain America: Civil War,’ returns home to the isolate, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to take his place as King. However, when an old enemy reappears on the radar, T’Challa’s mettle as King and Black Panther is tested when he is drawn into a conflict that puts the entire fate of Wakanda and the world at risk,” it read.

Meanwhile, “Sherlock” star Martin Freeman has also been confirmed to reprise his role as Everett K. Ross. The character was last featured in “Captain America: Civil War.” Before production for “Black Panther” commenced and before Freeman was confirmed to return to the movie, the actor was already spotted on set. Just Jared posted a photo of the actor holding a cup of coffee with an umbrella over his head. At the time, he was on break from filming and was waiting for the rain to stop.

According to Collider, filming is taking place at Atlanta’s Pinewood studios. The movie also stars Sterling K. Brown as N’Jobu, Lupita Nyong’o as the Wakandan warrior Nakia, Angela Bassett as Romonda, Winston Duke as M’Baku or Man Ape, Forest Whitaker as Zuri, Daniel Kaluuya as W’Kabi, Danai Gurira and Florence Kasumba as members of T’Challa’s personal guard.

“Black Panther” is slated to hit theaters in the United States sometime next year.
