The Blacklist
Red is back in "The Blacklist" Season 2 premiere airing Monday, Sept. 22, on NBC. NBC

In the Season 1 finale of “The Blacklist,” Red and Liz narrowly missed catching Berlin, the big-league baddie who showed up at the end of the premiere season of the NBC drama. With the premiere of Season 2 just around the corner on Monday, a two-minute trailer shows that failing to get Berlin might have been a costly mistake, one that could cost Liz her life.

The trailer first flashes back to last season, where Red explains that Berlin is one of the reasons that Red turned himself in to the FBI. The second season will feature a chess match between them as Red tries to find Berlin before Berlin can take him out. The promo also introduces a new villain for the premiere episode -- Lord Baltimore.

In the trailer, Red tells Liz that Lord Baltimore is in town and could be the key to finding Berlin. However, we then hear that Lord Baltimore is not looking for Red. So, who is he in town for? The trailer might just answer that as well. Red takes a phone call from Lord Baltimore where the new villain promises to “do to her what you did to my daughter. I’m going to send her back to you piece by piece.” But who is her? Has Liz been kidnapped in the premiere episode?

The threat by Lord Baltimore also hints at the theory that Red is Liz’s father. The Season 1 finale suggested this when it revealed burn scars on his back, much like the ones on Liz’s arm from the fire when she was young. Is Lord Baltimore getting revenge for his daughter by kidnapping Red’s?

Season 2 looks to be exciting as fans wait to see if Red and Liz can stop Berlin. Plus, when will the show reveal the truth about Liz’s parentage? Fans will have to tune in to the Season 2 premiere to find out.
