Blake Lively has showcased her acute fashion sense in a series of ensembles that mixed couture dresses with casual pieces.

The pregnant actress was recently spotted wearing designer dresses but paired with casual jackets for an unexpected fashion combination. Lively looked stunning in a short white dress from Michael Kors’ Collection while promoting her latest movie “The Shallows” in Manhattan, People magazine reported. The dress featured a sequined top and a short skirt covered in feathers.

However, what made the “Gossip Girl” star’s ensemble unique was the gray hooded sweatshirt that Lively wore over her dress. To complete her look, the actress wore silver heels and kept her hair up in a loose ponytail.

Apart from the Michael Kors dress, Ryan Reynold’s wife also looked beautiful in a bright yellow gown with a beaded bodice. The gown comes from Jenny Packham’s collection that featured a long billowy skirt. The actress even wore a Madewell denim jacket over the Lime Fizz colored gown for a more casual yet stylish look.

The designer dress also helped to camouflage Lively’s growing baby tummy. She is currently pregnant with her and Reynolds’ second child. The Hollywood couple already has an 18-month-old daughter together named James.

Lively also took to Instagram to display her comfortable yet elegant maternity wear. In the photo, the actress’ yellow gown flowed around her legs as she walked along a sidewalk. She captioned the image, “I mean, it's not a gooooown if there's denim over it. Right?!?”

Meanwhile, the actress spoke up about a previous Instagram post that became controversial when some people claimed her message was “racially insensitive.” Lively shared during her recent interview at Shade 45 that she “never meant to offend anyone” with her social media post, Entertainment Tonight reported. In the said controversial Instagram message, the Hollywood star shared a picture that showcased her curvy body during the red carpet event of the Cannes Film festival. She captioned the said image, “L.A. face with an Oakland booty.”

Lively defended herself during her Shade 45 interview and explained the previous social media post she made was to celebrate her body. "It's something I was proud of,” she stated.
