‘Blindspot’
Patterson (Ashley Johnson) is the second mole in the FBI in “Blindspot” Season 2, episode 16. NBC

“Blindspot” Season 2, episode 16 just revealed the identity of the second Sandstorm mole within the FBI.

In “Evil Did I Dwell, Lewd I Did Live,” Nas (Archie Panjabi) and her team has been suspecting that there is a mole in their group. After all, it seems that Shepherd (Michelle Hurd) is always aware of their next move. As it turns out, their suspicion was right, but the second mole has no idea that she’s been informing Shepherd of the FBI team’s whereabouts all this time.

Patterson (Ashley Johnson) was previously captured by Shepherd, and before she escaped, the latter implanted a transmitter in her tooth. This turned Patterson into an instant mole without her knowledge. But the FBI team discovered the transmitter and used it to trap Sandstorm. Unfortunately, they did not succeed.

While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Martin Gero opened up about how Patterson will react now that she knows she became a mole. “It’s a tough situation for her. Yeah, you see at the end that Patterson has had a rough go with David, with Borden, with this bug in her mouth. It’s been a rough ride for her, so the next part of the season is her trying to figure out, what now?” he said.

Meanwhile, Shepherd is expected to continue terrorizing the FBI, especially now that she no longer has a mole and one of her right-hand men and first mole, Borden (Ukweli Roach), has been killed. “We’re pushing toward a really satisfying ending for the season. We finally have turned the tide a bit in this episode,” Gero said.

The last few episodes of “Blindspot” Season 2 will feature several deaths of some of the main characters. Unfortunately, Gero did not give any hints on who they might be.

“Blindspot” Season 2 airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
