‘Blindspot’
What secrets do Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) and Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) have in “Blindspot” Season 3? NBC

“Blindspot” Season 3 star Jaimie Alexander recently shared some details from the upcoming episodes of the hit NBC TV series.

While at the Emmys red carpet on Sunday, the actress spoke with TV Line’s Michael Ausiello about her character, Jane Doe, as well as Sullivan Stapleton’s character, Kurt Weller. The interview, published on Monday, saw Alexander confirming that both characters have a massive secret coming into Season 3.

There will also be a two-year time-jump in “Blindspot,” and the characters will be lying about their whereabouts during this time. But other than Jane and Weller’s “massive secret,” the lead star also hinted on the possibility of Jane having a third identity in Season 3.

During the first two seasons, it was revealed that Jane and Remy was one and the same person. During her interview, Alexander said that within the first three seasons of “Blindspot,” viewers have gotten to know more about Jane within a span of six years. But there’s more to come for the lead character.

Additionally, Alexander also said that the upcoming episodes will be filled with flashbacks because it would be weird if fans wouldn’t learn what happened to Jane and the other characters in the last two years. But one of the most exciting parts from Season 3 will come from the new characters that will be introduced. Alexander said that these characters will have surprising connections to Jane that even the character doesn’t know of or remembers.

Earlier this month, Entertainment Weekly announced the casting of Kristina Reyes as Avery. However, the character has a complicated past with Weller and not with Jane. But her appearance in multiple episodes will definitely affect the two characters’ relationship.

And speaking of Jane and Weller’s relationship, executive producer Martin Gero told TV Line that episode 1 will be very satisfying for the fans of Jeller. “The first episode back is going to be the most fulfilling ‘Jeller’ episode we’ve ever done. They are in love, there’s a very good reason they haven’t seen each other in a while and Weller’s been searching for her,” he said.

“Blindspot” Season 3 will premiere on NBC on Oct. 27 at 8 p.m. EDT.
