Blink-182 continues to tease fans about new music coming in the near future. Bass player and singer Mark Hoppus has been posting updates on Twitter and Instagram over the past few months and the latest update from Hoppus shows drummer Travis Barker hard at work on a new track.

Hoppus posted a video on Instagram of the drummer playing a song that Hoppus said the band had created on Tuesday. The only sounds in the video comes from Barker on the drums. Hoppus also posted a picture of him tracking songs on his bass. You can watch Barker play the untitled track below.

On Jan. 27, Hoppus shared a studio photo on Twitter of him sitting alongside Barker, new guitarist Matt Skiba and producer John Feldmann. The "What's My Age Again" singer said he had spent over 14 hours in the studio that day and drank so much coffee that he "might never sleep again."

The new Blink-182 album is one of the most anticipated releases in 2016. Not many details have been revealed about the new album, but Barker told California radio station KROQ in January that it's likely the album will drop this summer. The band could even head out on the road to play some live shows.

"There’s tentatively some plans to play shows during summer. Everything will come together and be revealed in due time. It’s gonna be great," Barker said.

Fans are interested to hear the new album, which will be the band's first release without guitarist Tom DeLonge, who left the band in January 2015. Skiba, who is the singer/guitarist of the Alkaline Trio, has since joined Blink-182 and is involved in the recording process. Skiba comes from a band with a similar set up like Blink-182, where there are two singers and three overall members in the group.
