The much talked about male fragrance from Chanel, Bleu de Chanel, which is being promoted through an ad film directed by Martin Scorsese, is the latest sporty fragrance to hit the market. It is an amalgamation of smells from the popular and classic fragrances from Paco Rabbane, Dior, YSL making it a bright fragrance to wear.

If you are into fresh, modern scent then you will like Bleu de Chanel. It is a woody aromatic that opens with citrusy top notes of lemon, and grapefruit, and a strong metallic synthetic lavender. The top note is spiked with notes of pink pepper.

The scent slowly moves into the middle notes of fresh ginger, and warm woods like cedar, vetiver, which give it its masculine traits. The freshness of airy jasmine and lily of the valley gives it a very refreshing touch. The dry down is woody almost dry with amber notes, dry woods with a mossy facet coupled with scents of soft hay and a touch of incense that accentuates the woods. The combination is ultra sporty, however the most interesting facet of the perfume is the very light suede note that appears after the scent settles in your skin. Priced at $59, the fragrance is encased in a square blue bottle, and best suited for young men on the go.
