"The Bold and the Beautiful"
Liam (Scott Clifton) is stunned when Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) suggests going along with Bill’s (Don Diamont, not pictured) plan on the Aug. 14, 2017 episode of “The Bold and the Beautiful.” CBS

He told her what he had learned regarding Bill’s plan to finally get the Spectra building for himself. However, Liam will be stunned when he realizes that Steffy may not be on board with how he thinks the situation will be handled on the Monday, Aug. 14 episode of “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

Liam (Scott Clifton) learned while interviewing Sally (Courtney Hope) about the Spencer Summit and Spectra’s plans that his cousin, Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) was allegedly dying from an autoimmune disorder, which prompted Thomas’ (Pierson Fode) abrupt decision to go to New York and not make any plans to return soon. However, when he went to discuss the situation with Bill (Don Diamont), he realized his father made the entire illness up on the CBS soap. Enraged that he has lied so he can try and get his planned skyscraper built, Liam has now told Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) the truth.

However, when he demands they do something, he will be shocked when she suggests they leave things alone and see if the plan has the other desired effect—with Thomas dumping Sally and then going back to work at Forrester as a result.

“Let’s just wait and see if Bill’s plan works,” she says in a preview clip.

Liam will be floored that his wife wants to continue forward with the lie, especially since it means her brother will still believe something horrible, and it could cause some tension to surface in their marriage as a result.

Meanwhile, Caroline has flown back to Los Angeles from New York, because she doesn’t feel she can continue living with the lie either, and wants Bill to know that she refuses to continue cooperating. SHe no longer wants to be a part of it because it didn’t get Thomas back with her through his own desires, but through his feelings of obligation to take care of her and spend time with their son, because he thinks he will be a single father in the future.

“It should have been Thomas’ decision and it wasn’t,” she says in the clip. “So this whole charade is going to end.”

However, Bill will encourage his niece to give it more time, because he believes as much time as possible spent in New York with her and Douglas will eventually bring Thomas around to being there for the right reasons. When he then adds that he’s positive he will eventually dump Sally in favor of Caroline, she will then call him out on why he really took things to this level, because he knows without Thomas bankrolling Sally’s company, she will be forced to close down. When Spectra closes, the site of their building becomes available for Bill to build his planned skyscraper—and Caroline will refuse to keep going along with the plan simply because of his desire to put up another building.

“This is all about you getting your shiny new building Bill,” she says. “You don’t care about me and Thomas.”

“The Bold and the Beautiful” airs weekdays at 1:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
