Bond girl Berenice Marlohe has been the talk of the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. The French actress will play Bond girl Severine in the 23rd James Bond film, Skyfall, which will hit theaters Nov. 9, 2012.

Berenice Marlohe dazzled at Cannes this week, a true epicenter of international glamor, in an array of stunning frocks. She wore a gilded gold lame Emilio Pucci gown with pleated skirt and twisted neck to the Vous N'avez Encore Rien Vu premiere. For the screening of Amour she went with a V-neck black gown with sparkling black-sequined accents. She topped this look off with layers of brilliant diamonds.

The 33-year-old brunette beauty is currently the face of Swarovski.

On Monday, Marlohe unveiled the first official Skyfall teaser trailer, which also stars Daniel Craig and Naomie Narris, in a public screening on a French Riviera beach.

The Bond flick centers around Bond's loyalty to M as that loyalty is tested when her past comes back to haunt her. Bond must destroy the threat, regardless of the personal toll it may take. MTV decoded five clues in the clip, revealing information on five sky scenes from the Skyfall film, worthy of attention.

Director Sam Mendes said that Skyfall will explore Bond's troubled psyche, according to a Huffington Post article last month.

You always go back to the Fleming because the character Fleming created over a number of novels was incredibly complex, Mendes said during a news conference in Istanbul. Some people sometimes forget in the cliche of Bond, which is the international playboy, and someone who's always untroubled, and almost never breaks a sweat, that actually what (Fleming) created was a very conflicted character.

In Ian Fleming's last Bond novels, Bond suffered from a combination of lassitude, boredom, depression, difficulty with what he's chosen to do for a living, which is to kill. That makes him a much more interesting character, and some of those things are explored in this movie, because Daniel as an actor is capable of exploring them, said Mendes.

Bond girl Berenice Marlohe is excited to see the final product.

I know the actors, I know what we've done, but I don't know what they will do with it. So I'm very curious about it, she told The Associated Press in Cannes on Monday.

The cast of Skyfall shot scenes in London, Scotland, Turkey and China, according to the Huffington Post. In Istanbul, they rode on motorcycles at the Grand Bazaar, a market that has been around since the Ottoman period.

As for her opinion on actor Daniel Craig, who plays James Bond, Marlohe thinks that his serious reputation precedes him. He's very, very funny, she says. He's like a clown.
