Bones
Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) are on a new case in episode 3 of "Bones" Season 10. Fox

Now that Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) have finally put a stop to the conspiracy and said their last goodbyes to Sweets (John Francis Daley), it is time, at last, for “Bones” to move on to some other cases. The synopsis for the next episode of the Fox series, “The Purging of the Pundit,” gives fans a peak at their exciting new case.

According to the synopsis, Booth, Brennan, and the Jeffersonian Institute team will be investigating the murder of a controversial talk radio host after his body turns up in a storm drain. As Booth and Brennan work the case, they will discover that the radio personality had some darker secrets in his closet that help them narrow down the suspects. Plus, Brennan’s team will have the help of a new member, Rodolfo Fuentes (guest star Ignacio Serricchio).

Meanwhile, Booth is still struggling to get his head straight after everything that has happened to him in the last few episodes. Fans will remember that Brennan found Booth in the last episode with an arsenal of illegally bought weapons, planning to deal a little bit of vigilante justice to a conspiracy suspect. Sweets told Brennan in the premiere that it would take some time for Booth to learn to trust people again, but the new episode finds her worried about his mental state.

One thing that might not be good for Booth’s well-being is Agent Aubrey (John Boyd). The new agent has been sticking to Booth like glue so far this season, but can Booth trust him? He has seemed to be helpful to this point, but questions remain about his motives and why Director Stark (Sterling Macer Jr.) had him tail Booth.

Now that the conspiracy is done, viewers can finally look forward to the show getting back to a state of normalcy, even if they are still sore over the loss of Sweets. Booth and Brennan are on a new case on the next “Bones,” airing Thursday, Oct. 9, at 8 p.m. EDT on Fox.
