When Britney Spears released the music video for “Till The World Ends” four years ago, the ‘90s Princess of Pop received flak when fans noticed the obvious use of a body double in some scenes. This Friday, Spears released a new music video for her song “Slumber Party” that features Tinashe. Before the media and people in general could assume that she’s used another body double for the video, the former Mickey Mouse Club talent set the record straight on social media.

On the same day that the “Slumber Party” music video was released, Spears took to Twitter to retweet a message from a fan that seems to capture perfectly what the singer has to say about what working for the promotional video was like. The tweet reads: “We use our bodies to make our own videos.”

It appears that Spears used the tweet to assure fans that she did not use a body double for the new music video. It can be noted that her use of a body double for “Till The World Ends” became a big issue four years ago because many claimed that it was easy to spot which scenes were filmed with her double, who was quickly identified to be the choreographer’s assistant, Tiana Brown, as per Perez Hilton.

That was not the first time that Spears was accused of using a body double. For her “Hold It Against Me” music video, speculations of her having a body double for some parts of the promotional video also surfaced when it was released. However, Spears’ spokesperson insisted at the time that there was no truth to the speculation because Jamie Lynn’s sister rehearsed for six weeks before the music video was filmed, as reported by Daily Mail.

In 2015, Obsev revealed that a casting notice for Britney’s body double for “Work B-tch” was flying around in November 2013. The same news site claimed that even Spears’ cover photo for Blender magazine involved the use of a body double.

Meanwhile, despite the issues she’s faced in the past, Spears seems to be very pleased with her new album, especially her “Slumber Party” track. She even took to Twitter to express her excitement to showcase her live performance for the song on her “Piece of Me” show at Planet Hollywood.
