Britney Spears' former manager Osama Sam Lutfi is suing the singer and her parents for defamation, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and breach of contract.

The US lawsuit, filed yesterday in Los Angeles Superior Court, comes three days after a judge granted Spears and her parents a restraining order against Lutfi, paparazzo Adnan Ghalib and a lawyer.

The suit launched a campaign of lies and intimidation designed to destroy Lutfi and drive him out of Britney's life, TMZ reports.

Lufti said their claims have caused him humiliation and distress.

He also claims in the lawsuit that he has received death threats and has been subjected to unfathomable amounts of ridicule and public scorn.

Lufti also claimed that her father Jamie Spears punched him in the chest in January, and that mother Lynne damaged his reputation by claiming he had given her daughter too much medicine in her book Through the Storm.

Meanwhile, Britney is making a successful comeback with her new album and her up coming Circus tour.

According to a blog on her website, Britney has been enjoying every moment of rehearsals and is looking forward to performing in front of a live audience again.
