Brooke Mueller, Charlie Sheen's ex-wife was charged with possession and distribution of cocaine in Colorado following her arrest in Aspen Dec. 30.

According to The Associated Press, a woman reported being assaulted by her at the Belly Up nightclub and because of this, Mueller is also being charged with third-degree assault.

Following up on the report, police tracked Mueller to the Escobar nightclub. A search revealed the cocaine and Mueller was consequently taken into custody.

Third-degree assault is a misdemeanor, while cocaine possession and possession with intent to distribute are both felonies. Possession with intent to distribute has a penalty between four and twelve years, while possession could lead to 18 months in jail.

Mueller, 34, plans to fight the accusations.

Mueller divorced Sheen last year after Sheen pleaded guilty to charges of assaulting her in 2009.
