The Browns have traded Braylon Edwards to the New York Jets for wide receiver Chansi Stuckey, linebacker Jason Trusnik and undisclosed draft choices, the Cleveland Browns confirmed Wednesday on their website.

Edwards, 26 has fame of being problematic. In the recent months he has been involved in several off-field incidents, ESPN said. He was accused of assaulting basketball player LeBron James outside a night club two days ago. The NFL is investigating the case.

In March, he also was partying with suspended Browns' wide receiver Donte Stallworth in Miami. Later that night Stallworth drove drunk and killed a pedestrian but Edwards was not with him at the time.

Edwards had 10 catches for 139 yards but has no touchdowns in four games for the winless Browns this season. He had 238 receptions for 3,697 yards and 28 scores in five seasons with Cleveland.
