Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) is all set to make “the most important decision of his life” in “Gotham” Season 3. Fox

Things are heating up for Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) in “Gotham” Season 3, especially since the Court of Owls has plans to mess up his life.

Due to this, young Bruce will need all the help he can get from his butler, Alfred Pennyworth (Sean Pertwee).

Mazouz told Comic Book that his character will go through a “major” transformation in the last eight episodes of the season. “It will result in him making a decision that he’s been searching for, for a very long time,” Mazouz said. “It will be the most important decision of his life. He is going to live out the reason he was created, and it will have very bad consequences for Bruce —catastrophic consequences. I don’t want to give away too much, but it’s not going to be pretty.”

Meanwhile, executive producer Danny Cannon teased that there’s more to the Court of Owls than meets the eye. The mysterious organization has secret upon secret to unravel, and Cannon hinted that those in charge might not really be the ones pulling all the strings.

“We’re heading towards, is there somebody else behind the Court of Owls?” Cannon said. “We’re still unraveling what the city of Gotham is, how the city was created, who’s in charge. Things will get a lot worse before they can get better in the city of Gotham.”

His statements are echoed by Pertwee, who earlier told The Arts Guild that the city is going to take a nosedive and force Bruce to become the Batman. “For the super villains to exist, Gotham has to reach the bottom of the barrel. So phoenix rises from the ashes. Gotham is going to get to a really bad place,” he revealed.

“Gotham” Season 3, episode 15, titled “How the Riddler Got His Name,” will air on April 24 on FOX.
