On early Friday morning, Bruno Mars returned with his first solo single in nearly three years. Produced by Shampoo Press & Curl and The Stereotypes, “24K Magic” blends disco, funk and hip-hop and sounds like an evolution of Mars’ last hit single, “Uptown Funk.” Featured on the upcoming album of the same name, “24K Magic” will be Mars’ first album since 2012’s “Unorthodox Jukebox.” Before the album releases this fall, here’s everything we know about it:

1. “24K Magic” Is The First Single

Released on Oct. 7 at midnight, the album’s lead single is sure to be another hit for Mars when it’s released on radio on Oct. 11. The song is already No. 1 on Billboard and Twitter’s Trending 140 chart.

2. The Album Will Be Released On Nov. 18

Following the release of “Uptown Funk,” Mars stayed pretty quiet when it came to releasing his own music. We now know that Mars took the time off to work on his own album which will be released in stores and on streaming services on Nov. 18.

3. He Worked With Skrillex, Mark Ronson And Possibly Missy Elliot

While not much is known about the collaborators on the album, Mars once again worked with Ronson and even teamed up with Skrillex. “What we’re doing is so f------ different, awesome and next level, and sounds like nothing else that’s happened before,” Skrillex told Billboard. The “Uptown Funk” singer may have also worked with rapper Missy Elliott on the album. In May, Elliott posted a photo on Instagram of her and Mars in a recording studio.

4. He’s Going To Appear On “Saturday Night Live”

Like many artists do, Bruno Mars will be appearing on “Saturday Night Live” on Oct. 15 to promote the new album. Mars will surely perform “24K Magic” and you can bet he’ll premiere a new song from the album as well.

5. The Music Video For “24K Magic” Is Out Now

In typical Bruno Mars fashion, the singer brought his band The Hooligans for the music video. Dancing through the streets and casinos of Las Vegas, the video is reminiscent of a 1990s hip-hop video. The video was directed by Cameron Duddy and Mars.

6. It Will Contain Nine Songs

Thanks to a pre-order page on iTunes, we now know that the album will only contain nine songs. This is not much of a departure for Mars whose last albums have each contained 10 songs.
