“Resident Evil 7” launches today, and reviews for the game so far have been mostly positive. Publisher Capcom also announced earlier that the first DLC for the survival horror game will arrive next week on Jan. 31 for the PlayStation 4.

The first expansion pack for “Resident Evil 7” is called “Banned Footage Vol. 1” and costs $9.99. It includes two pieces of playable banned footages as well as an extra game mode. “Bedroom” footage will have players trying to figure out how to escape a locked room while Marguerite Baker is in pursuit, as described by Capcom in its blog post.

“Nightmare” footage is a survival-based scenario where players must face waves of enemies until morning. There’s also “Ethan Must Die,” an entirely separate extra game mode that’s described by Capcom as “tough-as-nails.” The expansion will be available on other platforms on Feb 21.

Capcom also took the time to give out the details on the second expansion mode, “Banned Footage Vol. 2,” which will arrive on the PS4 on Feb. 14, and on other platforms on Feb. 21. The second DLC pack is a bit more expensive at $14.99, but it includes two additional pieces of playable footage and another extra game mode as well.

The first playable banned footage is titled “21,” which is described by Capcom as a “gamble of life and limb” with Lucas Baker. The footage titled “Daughters,” on the other hand, will show players what the Baker family was like before the events of “Resident Evil 7.” The extra game mode on the second expansion pack is “Jack’s 55th Birthday” where players will have to feed Jack Baker “tons of food” before the time runs out.

Both of the upcoming DLC packs are included on the $90 Deluxe Edition of “Resident Evil 7.” Gamers can also pick up the game’s season pass for $30 to get extra content. It was rumored earlier this month that Capcom would be releasing a free DLC called “Not a Hero,” but the game publisher didn't mention anything about it just yet, as pointed out by GameSpot.
