With their honeymoon behind them, Beckett (Stana Katic) and Rick (Nathan Fillion) will be back to business as usual in episode 8, “Kill Switch.” However, that does not mean the new episode won’t be exciting. In fact, the synopsis reveals that the new case will put the lives of Esposito (Jon Huertas) and Ryan (Seamus Dever) in danger.

In the new episode, Castle and Beckett will be on the case of a routine murder when things get complicated -- there's reason to believe a second victim is in danger. Tracking down the second victim turns deadly for Esposito and Ryan when the supposed victim instead turns out to be an ideological terrorist with a gun who holds up the subway car. According to the synopsis, Beckett and Castle must work to figure out the gunman’s agenda and diffuse the situation before it’s too late.

On a lighter note, the promo for the new episode reveals Castle remarking about arriving on a crime scene as a married couple. Will marriage change their crime scene chemistry? Plus, executive producer David Amann previously revealed that the near-death experience of the episode would force Esposito to think about his relationship with Lanie (Tamala Jones). There will be some developments on that front in “Kill Switch,” but fans should not expect another “Castle” wedding anytime soon.
