"Catfish" star Nev Schulman is taking advantage of the MTV Video Music Awards to promote co-star Max Joseph's new movie "We Are Your Friends." Schulman spoke to International Business Times reporter Monica Castillo about the film on the red carpet at the Los Angeles award show.

"My co-star Max [Joseph] made a beautiful film and I want people to see it and know about it," Schulman said. "We Are Your Friends," hit theaters Friday and stars Zac Efron. Joseph wrote the screenplay and directed the film.

The 30-year-old also discussed what fans of "Catfish" can expect in Season 5 of the MTV show. Schulman said he hopes to take the show overseas this season. "We're going to do another season, we're taking stories, I'm really hopeful we'll do some international episodes, it's a dream so that's what I'm hoping for," Schulman said.

The fourth season of the show concluded Sunday night and Schulman and Joseph will now begin working on Season 5. He said he doesn't know what the stories are, but he's going to figure it out.
