The Blues are currently touring Malaysia ahead of the Barclays Asia Trophy which could pit them against the likes of Blackburn Rovers and Aston Villa later in the competition. The club is set to sign young Genk goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and Belgian starlet Romelu Lukaku is high on manager Andre Villas-Boas’ wishlist.

Chelsea’s Ivorian forward Didier Drogba, the manager and Ron Gourlay represented the club and paid respects to the 83-year-old king. Later Alex, Josh McEachran, Florent Malouda and Nathaniel Chalobah joined the coaches at the ACC Academy and spent time with the around 50 kids helping them with passing, dribbling and controlling the ball. The players have also met Academy principal and signed autographs for young players who received a Chelsea-branded Here to Play.
